Hi all !
Here's my participation to the Spectacular challenge.
Here's the little story behind the picture :
Human being : pride , dignity , he's always trusting only himself, his self strength... because with his great brain, thoughts, power, muscles, nothing appears impossible for him. This fantastic gift to control his environnement , makes him think he rules his world... He's the most precious life on earth , and he has to prove it, even for his own pleasure, because he's spectacular...
The tree is more the nature itself, no goals , no actions , no power , no control , just being here , playing his only role, feeding people arounds , trying to survive , living with time.
So what's happening when the first guy meet nature, maybe he could thank her for giving him his life, maybe he could dance around and pray for saving it forever... no , because he must show HE rules the earth...nothing's impossible for him, because he's spectacular...
well , he has unroot the tree, and then , what's the matter ? just one more tree on the floor... only a hole instead ... no more animals around , no life , everybody's running away from a dead tree ? everybody, everythings 's running away from the guy... because he's spectacular...
.
I used Maya for all the modeling , grass and foliage made with Maya PaintFX, rendered with Mental Ray. Background painted with Photoshop.
Thank you all the community, Really glad to have participate in this great event.Hope you guys like it.
